Founded in 2011, the studio&#8217;s main concern from the outset was to create concepts that put the user&#8217;s sensations at the heart of the interactive experience.
The project is led by Gaël Bertrand and Gaëtan Libertiaux, who came straight out of a music group in 2008. Although the first interactive devices they came up with were musical, they quickly moved on to experiment with other areas of the game, interactive art becoming their favourite sport.
Instigating experiments, whether collective or intimate, the studio focuses on creating sensitive experiences, halfway between art and live performance. Central, universal as much as particular in its emotional resonance, intuition is part of an approach that drifts along philosophical, technological and artistic lines, always at the service of sensation.

The From0 installation highlights the versatile nature of living things.
The installation postulates and underlines the instability of any equilibrium, destined to escape control. With From0, harmony slides from order to chaos, and conversely, chaos returns to its original form. From0 progressively deconstructs every signifier to offer it an escape from meaning, highlighting the distance between the concept and the material, musical nature of language. It&#8217;s the perfect opportunity to hear certain words in a new light, and to plunge ipso facto into a kind of original emotional bath. Hearing the words repeated, gently shifting to let the musicality take hold, and letting yourself sink into it.
From0 is a word composed of the English word &#8216;From&#8217; and the letter &#8216;O&#8217;. It evokes the starting point, the zero, and at the same time the circle evokes the perfection of the unity of the form and the repeating loop. This unity is deconstructed before our eyes and ears, only to re-emerge a few minutes later when the cycle of phase shifting is complete. The word then becomes intelligible again. From repetition can emerge knowledge, an order. Understanding this order is made accessible through this repetition, this repeated deconstruction.

Her extensive body of work encompasses film, performance, sculpture, photography, and cutting-edge virtual reality experiences. Mousset’s transformative work challenges all the senses with extraordinary experiences in which the body becomes a site for physical and spiritual exchanges with technology. As the co-founder of PatchXR, a creative studio developing XR tools and experiences, Mousset bridges art and technology to empower other creators to express themself in these new media.
<a href="https://www.instagram.com/ed0ooo/">Eduardo Fouilloux</a> turns sounds, pictures, and technology into fun and magic, spending most of his time exploring ways to spark emotions through real-time simulations, and interactive media. His main focus is around collaborative play across disciplines and senses. As director and co-founder of Patch XR, he has led the development of a next-generation interactive playground for immersive media called Patchworld and a new engine for creators ranging from world-builder, casual gamers to hardcore music producer, empowering the next generation with immersive,fun and powerful tools to express themself.

Mélodie Mousset & Eduardo Fouilloux

Dive into the enchanting depths of The Jellyfish (L’echo des méduses), a synesthetic virtual reality experience beckoning participants into a unique cross-species connection with glowing jellyfishes. Submerged in a dream-like underwater soundscape, participants find themselves surrounded by a ethereal ballet of ghostly marine creatures. By simply using their voice, participants will be able to interact with the jellyfish and engage in a mesmerizing call-and-answer musical interaction. The submarine inhabitants respond to the nuances of the human voice, synchronizing their movements with the pitch, tempo, and intensity of the participant’s vocal expressions. This harmonious interaction fosters a profound sense of connection, offering a poetic and playful exploration of interspecies communication through technology and art.

Born in 1986 in Casablanca (Morocco), Hicham Berrada studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at Le Fresnoy (Tourcoing).
His work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions : Centre Pompidou, Paris ; Palais de Tokyo, Paris ; Gardens of the Château de Versailles ; Mac Val, Vitry-sur-Seine ; macLyon ; ICAS-, Singapore ; Moderna Museet, Stockholm and Banco de la República, Bogota ; Taipei Biennial ; Yokohama Triennale ; Punta della Dogana, Museum of the Pinault Collection, Venice and Paris ; and Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin.
Solo exhibitions have been held at the Louvre-Lens, the Abbaye de Maubuisson, the Hayward Gallery in London and the Zuckerman Museum of Art in Kennesaw (United States).

Hicham Berrada

This video belongs to the Présages series, initiated in 2007 and still in progress. It brings together water landscapes created in glass basins through chemical processes, displayed through different medium : video, performance or in situ. They are hermetic little worlds cut off from our own, made out of minerals immersed in an aqueous solution. To made them, a whole range of components is deployed to produce a wide variety of colours and shapes.
It summon us to see inorganic matter in a different light. We habitually think of the mineral world as static, as opposed to the animate living world. We are unable to perceive the movement of the mineral but by subjecting purified minerals to particular pH and viscosity conditions, we discover the metamorphoses of substances we normally consider inert and immutable. In this video, the mineral even turns out to have a gestural dimension, to be capable of movements we thought the prerogative of living systems.
Out of this chemically activated matter emerge multiple worlds simultaneously suggestive of forms of animal life, buildings and surreal or familiar landscapes. In motion, they challenge the viewer’s imagination and capacity for interpretation, like psychedelic Rorschach tests or those ornate clouds supposedly open to predictive explication. The Présages take their title from this evocative power.
