Founded by Hamie Robitaille and Ganesh Baron Aloir, TRANSVERSAL is both a creative studio and a non-profit organization with the mission to transcend the boundaries between digital arts and creative industries, as well as between artistic, technological, and scientific disciplines. By creating conceptual and transdisciplinary experiences that seek to address contemporary issues through design, TRANSVERSAL places humans at the center of its reflections to foster discussions around complex subjects, while emphasizing an integrated vision of technology.

Interactive Light Baton

TRANSVERSAL, in collaboration with Robocut Studio, is working on the development of a bidirectional digital creation tool that translates the movement of bodies into sounds and images, and vice versa.

Taking the form of an interactive light baton, this research and development project aims to establish connectivity between disciplines by exploring the interaction of living beings with technology. Going beyond conventional peripherals, this new type of tool facilitates human-machine exchanges and integrates the intuitive language of the body into the digital space, creating a genuine vector of emotion that can be transmitted to diverse audiences.
